MOHAMED SALAH says Liverpool have not yet discussed the possibility of a new contract with him. The forward’s deal at Anfield is due to expire in 2023. The 28-year-old, who has been linked with Real Madrid and Barcelona, said: ‘No one in the club is talking to me about anything so I do not know.’ Salah has won both the Champions League and the Premier League with Liverpool and is keen to add to that haul. He added: ‘I want to win the Premier League again and the Champions League again.’

JOSE MOURINHO insisted he will ‘wait to be back in football’ after being sacked by Tottenham on April 19. The 58-year-old, who was axed by chairman Daniel Levy just six days before Spurs’ Carabao Cup final loss to Manchester City, said: ‘I have no plans. I am going on with my normal life. I feel fresh. I feel calm, I am on holiday. I have more time to be doing my homework and analysis. I’ll wait to be back in football. Not just for the right club, but for the right culture. Maybe next season is premature, we will see.’

NORWICH CITY are interested in signing Southampton goalkeeper Angus Gunn, 25, whose family already have a long association with club. Gunn’s father Bryan, also a keeper, made 477 appearances for Norwich between 1986 and 1998 and managed the Canaries in 2009.

BOLTON could face an EFL probe after dozens of fans stormed the stadium at the end of yesterday’s 2-1 home defeat by Exeter. The fans were looking to celebrate promotion, but defeat put that on hold.
