Who’s next in Gray dynasty?

-

THE famous Gray family links to Leeds United are stronger than ever with four of Eddie and Frank’s grandchildren including England Under-15s international Archie at the club academy.

It all began when Eddie and Frank came down from Glasgow and were part of the Leeds team that reached the 1975 European Cup final.

Eddie’s two sons both played, Stuart for Celtic and Nick for the Leeds youth team with James Milner, while Frank’s son Andy made 30 first-team appearances for Leeds.

Now the talent has run to a third generation. Andy’s two sons Archie and

Harry are rated as big prospects while Eddie’s two grandsons Jacob and Charlie play for the Under-10s. They are still too young for Eddie to discuss their prospects but he says midfielder Archie and 12-yearold Harry — who has an eye for goal — have potential.

‘Frank’s two grandsons can play,’ he says proudly. ‘Harry was at Man City as a kid but left because of the travelling back and forth. Archie is getting to the stage where next season he will join the staff.’
