Manhunt The Night Stalker

The catalogue of crimes committed by the man the press named the Night Stalker is the most horrific litany of evil, short of murder. Between 1992 and 2009 this serial burglar not only broke into scores of houses across south-east London but also repeatedly raped elderly women.

Now the long police inquiry to apprehend him, Operation Minstead, is the subject of this drama across four nights and features the return of Martin Clunes

(far right) as DCI Colin Sutton (he first played him in 2019’s Manhunt, about the hunt for serial killer Levi Bellfield).

Just before his retirement, Sutton is asked to look over the Minstead files, and he’s soon dragged deep into the operation. Clunes is a captivating presence through the pains taking yet compelling process of sifting through a sea of information. ★★★★★
