100 Home Office staff dismissed
MORE than 100 Home Office staff have been fired over the past three years for offences including corruption, fraud and security breaches.
Officials have also been sacked for sexual misconduct, bullying or abusive and violent behaviour, according to figures released after a Freedom of Information request by The Mail on Sunday.
The statistics emerged after the union representing senior civil servants mounted a new legal challenge to Boris Johnson’s decision to back Home Secretary Priti Patel over bullying allegations.
A Home Office spokesman said: ‘We expect high standards from all our staff. If not, we will take appropriate action.’
