Why breast pain can’t be ignored
Alexandra Shulman’s article about her breast cancer diagnosis was identical to my own experience. I also had a pain under my left breast and went to the GP, who referred me, but the mammogram showed nothing. A few months ago I noticed one of my breasts looked different, so I had a lumpectomy.
The format for referring patients should not be changed, as it will almost definitely cost lives.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer last December after going to my GP with breast pain. Mine had spread to my lymph nodes, lungs and liver. After chemotherapy, I am now stable.
Please everyone, if there are any changes or pain, get it checked. It could save your life.
