From YSL to Londis... Kate hops between two VERY different shops

TUESDAY MAYFAIR FRIDAY GLOUCESTERSHIRE

- By Padraic Flanagan

SHE may be a multi-millionaire fashion icon, but you might still catch Kate Moss among the own-brand baked beans and cut-price booze of the local convenience store. The supermodel was spotted at both ends of the retail spectrum last week: browsing the haute couture of Mayfair’s designer boutiques, then stocking up with essentials at the neighbourhood Londis.

Kate and lookalike daughter Lila visited the upmarket Yves Saint Laurent store on Bond Street in London on Tuesday. Fully masked up, the 47-yearold wore a long grey duster coat over a black woollen sweater with light wash jeans and knee-high leather boots, paired with an outsize pair of sunglasses and a hefty black leather designer bag.

Meanwhile, 19-year-old Lila wore black leather trousers, chunky Dr Martens and a camel polo neck under a smart black coat.

In a three-hour shopping spree, the pair also visited Celine and Dior’s outlets, before being whisked away in a chauffeur-driven Mercedes.

By Friday, Kate was back at her rural retreat in the Cotswolds, where she ventured to the shops with her longtime friend James Brown, the celebrity hairdresser who has been sharing her home during lockdown.

Masked Kate still managed to stun with her sweatshirt, baggy jeans and trainers under a long, flowing blue print coat and large woven shopping bag. The supermodel chatted with locals at the store in Lechlade-on-Thames before ambling to the Cats Pyjamas gift shop, perhaps seeking inspiration for Christmas stockings.

‘Kate is always happy to talk with the people she meets,’ said one local.

She and James picked up takeaway coffees at a health-food store and visited a charity shop during their 45-minute stroll around the picturesque town.
