Wonderful Life actress dies aged 84
HOLLYWOOD actress Jeanine Ann Roose, best known for playing a young woman in It’s A Wonderful Life, has died in Los Angeles, aged 84.
Ms Roose, who played Violet Bick in the 1946 classic movie starring James Stewart, died on New Year’s Eve.
After the success of the film, Ms Roose went to university and never returned to acting. She worked as a psychologist.
Of the iconic film, she said: ‘It was a wonderful film to be part of. It’s lovely to be in a movie which means so much to so many generations and which continues to endure to this day.
‘The film made it clear to me that my desire in life was specifically to help others.’
