Six witnesses will say they saw Virginia with Duke

- By Caroline Graham

SIX witnesses are prepared to testify that they saw Prince Andrew with Virginia Roberts, her lawyer has dramatically claimed.

Ms Roberts claims she was forced to have sex with Andrew on three occasions, the first in London in 2001 when she was 17.

The Duke vehemently denies her allegations and says he has no recollection of ever meeting her, but ahead of a court hearing in New York on Tuesday, during which his lawyers will seek to have Ms Roberts’ civil case thrown out, her lawyer David Boies claimed: ‘We have four, five, six witnesses who will place them together.’

In an interview with The Mail on Sunday just days after the Duke’s former friend Ghislaine Maxwell was convicted of five child sex abuse and trafficking offences, Mr Boies said: ‘The defence that Prince Andrew has is the same one Maxwell had, namely that the girls are lying, they can’t be believed, they are making it up. Well, the Maxwell jury did believe those girls.’

During the socialite’s dramatic trial, a series of witnesses placed the Prince with Ms Roberts, including a pilot who testified that he flew them together on billionaire paedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s private jet, dubbed the ‘Lolita Express’.

Another woman claims she saw the pair at Tramp nightclub in London on the night of March 10, 2001, when Ms Roberts claims she was first forced to have sex with the Prince.

Another witness claims to have seen them together at Epstein’s New York mansion. ‘Virginia was a key part of the Maxwell trial. She was mentioned throughout,’ said Mr Boies. ‘The more people who come forward and testify about Virginia being trafficked, the harder it becomes for Andrew to play the “blame-the-victim” game Maxwell tried to play.’

He added: ‘Maxwell is the first one to fall, but this is just the beginning. We will get justice for Virginia. I feel confident of that.’
