The woke need to wake up

I really liked Dr Xand van Tulleken and enjoyed his TV shows.

However, on learning that during an appearance on the BBC’s Morning Live he referred to mothers-to-be as ‘pregnant people’, my admiration evaporated.

When are the woke going to realise that women, who have for decades fought for equality and recognition, are mortally offended that they are now not recognised as life-givers, one of their vital roles? I’m fed up with it.

Cases should be looked at individually. The majority of people giving birth are women who identify as women. In the few cases where this is imprecise, then the correct pronouns should be discussed.
