Wade dig at Wayne

JAMES WADE breezed into the World Darts Championship semi-finals after demolishing Mervyn King 5-0 and then launched a tirade against Sky Sports pundit Wayne Mardle for writing him off.

Wade reached his fourth world semi — he plays either reigning champion Gerwyn Price or Michael Smith — and then turned on Mardle. ‘I love proving Wayne wrong,’ he saud. ‘I’ve won more in two weeks than he has won in his entire career.’

Gary Anderson produced a barrage of big finishes to beat Luke Humphries 5-2 to reach a seventh semi-final.
