WHY ANDERSON AND BROAD ARE BOWLING ROYALTY FOR ENGLAND

-

ENGLAND go to the West Indies without Jimmy Anderson and Stuart Broad, their two most experienced bowlers who in the past five years have taken 342 Test wickets between them – more than the next four leading England wicket-takers combined. Their averages are also far superior to their team-mates.

Anderson is the fourth highest wicket-taker in the world in that period and Broad is sixth behind Nathan Lyon (187 wickets), Pat Cummins (178), Ravi Ashwin (176) and Kagiso Rabada (170).
