20% buy homes via video

ONE home in five is sold without the buyer setting foot inside the property, a study has found.

Some 20 per cent of buyers using online estate agent Purplebricks in the past year snapped up a home after only a ‘virtual 3D tour’. Those in Birmingham were most likely to buy in this way, with those in Glasgow the least likely.

One in ten bought a home after seeing only the property photos online.
