The hosts cruised into a 3-0 lead, thanks to Fraser Horsfall’s double and Mitch Pinnock’s strike. There was late drama, though, as Josh McPake pulled one goal back and Kane Hemmings converted a penalty.

WALSALL boss Michael Flynn praised Donervon Daniels after his first goal for the club secured a draw. Daniels cancelled out a first-half effort from John Rooney, and Flynn said: ‘He was superb. I love giving players praise.’
