Newcastle launch £50m bid for France wing Diaby

TOTTENHAM want to sign Croatia defender Josko Gvardiol in the summer. Gvardiol, 20, has excelled at Red Bull Leipzig, whom he joined from Dinamo Zagreb for £15million in 2020. Spurs managing director of football Fabio Paratici Paratici has to deliver quality signings to convince Antonio Conte to stay beyond this season but competition for Gvardiol will be fierce and Leipzig are likely to ask for £50m.

NEWCASTLE UNITED are preparing a £50million move for Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby.

The 22-year-old France international has scored 15 goals in 31 appearances this season and Newcastle are wary of increased competition and Leverkusen’s asking price, believed to be close to £75m, the amount they received from Chelsea for Kai Havertz in 2020.

Newcastle are also in the market for a centre forward and are among several clubs to express an interest in Everton and England striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
