Nova or Dilyn... who’s top dog?

WHATEVER Rishi Sunak’s ambitions might be, he’s happy to acknowledge who’s top dog in Downing Street.

And it’s not his own loveable Nova but the PM’s pet Dilyn, right.

‘Dilyn is the top dog, he is the Downing Street dog,’ says the Chancellor of the ‘very energetic’ Jack Russell cross which Boris and Carrie Johnson adopted in 2019, and who has been accused of ruining furniture.

Nova, pictured left, when she first arrived at No11 as an eight-week-old puppy last year, knows her place – as does the Chancellor.

‘We use the garden by permission of the PM,’ he says obediently.
