BORIS’S FLYING VISIT TO THE HERO OF KYIV
BORIS JOHNSON used a surprise trip to Kyiv yesterday to pledge a vast cache of British military hardware and £385million to help Ukraine repel Russian forces.
The Prime Minister met Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky, above, and hailed Ukrainians for showing ‘the courage of a lion’. He announced the UK would be sending 120 heavily armoured vehicles and new anti-ship missile systems.
It came just a day after Mr Johnson promised a further £100million of military assistance, including battlefield drones and anti-aircraft weapons.
