The life of the puppet-master behind Thunderbirds (and Parker, below), Joe 90 and Captain Scarlet, variously described in this profile as ‘an honest chap’ and ‘a very evil man’… He made and lost a fortune twice over, had four children from three marriages and made both enemies and allies. But whatever it was that pulled his strings he took to the grave, dying in 2012.
