THE wife of a Russian soldier who urged him to rape Ukrainian women has been identified.

Olga Bykovskaya made her vile comments in a conversation with Roman Bykovsky, which was intercepted by Ukraine’s intelligence service.

The 32-second audio clip has sparked worldwide revulsion.

During the call, Bykovskaya gave permission for her husband to carry out sex attacks as long as a condom is used. ‘Ukrainian women there. Rape them. Yeah,’ she said.

In response, Bykovsky asked: ‘So I should rape and not tell you anything?’ Bykovskaya replied: ‘Yes, so that I wouldn’t know anything...

Yeah, I allow you. Just use protection.’

The couple, who are believed to have a fouryear-old daughter, were identified by journalists at Ukraine’s Radio Liberty, who linked their mobile numbers with the Russian social-media site VKontakte.

Bykovsky, 27, a member of Russia’s 108th Guards Airborne Assault Regiment, has since been injured in battle and is recovering in the Crimean city of Sevastopol.

When Radio Liberty contacted Bykovsky, he denied he was the man in the clip and hung up. His wife confirmed her husband was in Sevastopol and then cut the phone call.

The couple have since deleted their social media accounts.
