Guillermo Galdos reports from Ecuador, which was once better known for tourism than the drugs trade. However, the bid to control new routes into the US and Europe has seen rival cartels take over the city of Guayaquil. As Galdos discovers, many of the residents of this once peaceful city are now afraid to leave their homes, and even the police are not safe. He also speaks to the foot soldiers in the cocaine wars.
