Hemp hits bullseye
ENGLAND international Lauren Hemp scored twice as Manchester City crushed West Ham 4-1 to book their place in the Women’s FA Cup final at Wembley.
Hemp’s 67th-minute goal — the 50th of her club career — and her second in stoppage time followed efforts from Ellen White and Chloe Kelly, with Lisa Evans replying for
West Ham. Three-time winners City will now face Arsenal or Chelsea, who meet in the other semi this afternoon.
‘I feel really proud of this team,’ said City boss Gareth Taylor. ‘Some of our play was really good. We had some scary moments at times but we deserve our place in the final. It’s great to look forward to a Wembley final.’
