Lady Violet: My life is no Bridgerton!

IT WOULD never claim to be a documentary, but Bridgerton is giving people a false impression of the landed gentry, says Lady Violet Manners.

Violet, 28, the daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Rutland, says the drama’s tall tales ‘overshadow the remarkable and true stories’ from history. So in an effort to change things, she is opening up her ancestral home, Belvoir Castle, to let tourists stay overnight for the first time and learn the truth about British heritage.
