Value of sensible parking

-

We are constantly being told we should shop local or risk seeing our high street shops disappear, and now these very high streets are battling for survival as councils move to parking machines that must be used with an app or require card payments (as reported in last week’s Mail on Sunday).

Many people, particularly the older generation, are unable to use these methods but the social aspect of shopping should not be overlooked. Making life so difficult for shoppers will kill businesses and increase the number of people feeling lonely and isolated.

When I visit somewhere and the car park does not take coins, I don’t stop and I go somewhere else. It’s their loss.
