YOUR GUIDE TO TODAY’S RACING, WITH TIPS

AIDAN O’BRIEN is happy with Tenebrism’s preparation for today’s Qipco 1,000 Guineas as she spearheads his challenge to continue to dominate the first fillies’ Classic of the season. O’Brien has won the 1,000 Guineas seven times which includes an amazing five wins in the last six years.

Tenebrism, who won the Cheveley Park Stakes at the track last year, is the mount of Ryan Moore with O’Brien’s second runner Tuesday being ridden by Frankie Dettori. O’Brien said: ‘Everything has gone well through the winter and the spring with Tenebrism. We were very impressed with what she did in the Cheveley Park. We were kind of going there thinking that if she was a Guineas filly she would have experience of the track and how she handled the dip.’

Tuesday is trying to emulate her sister Minding, who won the 1,000 Guineas in 2016. A strong Irish challenge also includes Jessica Harrington-trained Discoveries, winner of the 2021 Group One Moyglare Stud Stakes.

The race looks open after the scratching of ante-post favourite Inspiral last week. The best outsider could be Ralph Beckett-trained Prosperous Voyage.
