Ayoub Assal and a Jack Rudoni double had Wimbledon dreaming before John O’Sullivan hit a fourth for Accrington. Bowen said: ‘The culture has got to change.’

BOLTON emerged victorious against Fleetwood, thanks to Dion Charles’s double and goals from Declan John and Jon Dadi Bodvarsson. Barry Baggley and Joe Garner scored for Fleetwood.

GARETH AINSWORTH was proud as his Wycombe side sealed their play-off place. ‘It’s job done and a new job to come,’ said Ainsworth. Goals from Sam Vokes and Jordan Obita secured the win, while Gassan Ahadme briefly levelled for Burton.

MANAGER Mark Bonner said Cambridge’s season had been ‘excellent’. Sam Smith scored twice for the hosts, while Alfie May hit a brace for Cheltenham, who had Will Boyle sent off.

PAUL WARNE revelled in the victory that sealed his Rotherham side’s promotion and relegated Gillingham. ‘It has been a good day and it feels really special,’ he said. Rarmani Edmonds-Green and Georgie Kelly scored the goals.

MANAGER Johnnie Jackson said Charlton’s defeat was a ‘timely reminder’. Wes Burns scored a brace and Tyreeq Bakinson and James Norwood added one each for Kieran McKenna’s Ipswich.

MICHAEL APPLETON confirmed he was leaving as manager of Lincoln after his side finished the season with a victory. Chris Long opened the scoring for Crewe, but substitute­s Tom Hopper and Hakeeb Adelakun won it for Lincoln.

MORECAMBE 0 SUNDERLAND 1

SUNDERLAND boss Alex Neil said it was a case of ‘job done’ after a 10th-minute goal from Nathan Broadhead secured a play-off spot. Despite the loss, Morecambe survived the drop.

KARL ROBINSON wants more aggression from his Oxford team next season. Billy Bodin opened the scoring but Josh Martin equalised in the second half for Rovers, whose relegation was confirmed. Robinson said: ‘We need an evolution.’

SCOTT TWINE was Dons’ four-goal hero and Harry Darling also netted at Plymouth, who had Jordan Houghton dismissed. Winning boss Liam Manning said: ‘I am really proud.’

DARREN MOORE praised his Wednesday side for ‘coming through a tough afternoon’. George Hirst opened the scoring for Portsmouth, before goals from Lee Gregory, Saido Berahino, Jordan Storey and George Byers won it for the hosts.

SHREWSBURY 0 WIGAN 3

MANAGER Leam Richardson was quick to credit the ‘profession­als’ around him as his Wigan side sealed the title. An own goal from Josh Vela and a brace from Will Keane ensured the victory.
