Nannying is neigh problem for Callie

-

FINDING the right nanny can be a daunting task, but horserider Callie Coles has found a winner – in her pony, Sparky.

The Dorset-based socialite, who recently welcomed her third son, Peregrine, with husband Toby, tells me that her pet has ‘snuffled lovingly over the new little person’, adding: ‘He’s looking forward to the child’s basket saddle making a reappearance in his life.’

Judging by his family’s love of horses, Peregrine will likely be ready to ride before he’s even crawling. Callie herself is a devoted rider and hunter, who thinks nothing of bringing her ponies inside the house for teatime.

But, with the new addition, will there still be space inside for family bonding time? ‘Yes,’ she tells me. ‘The ponies still come into the house – much to my husband’s dismay!’
