‘He’s ignoring me... again!’ Naga’s new blast at Charlie
NAGA turned nagger yesterday, when the BBC Breakfast host was caught berating her co-presenter live on air.
Ms Munchetty accused Charlie Stayt of ‘ignoring her’, and failing to return to the studio after he filmed a segment outside.
After interviewing former Olympic cyclist Chris Boardman on the plaza in front of the Salford studios, Mr Stayt, 59, suggested they ‘tootle off for a coffee’ – and they rode away from the camera on bicycles.
Ms Munchetty hit out: ‘Er no, Mr Stayt. You are due back in the studio. He’s ignoring me ... again!’ She was then heard adding in exasperation: ‘Again, ignoring me! Can someone just go out and get him. Please. Look... look at that. Ridiculous. Seriously, we’ve got an hour and a half left of broadcasting to do. Can someone go out and get him?’
Viewers have previously complained about 47-year-old Ms Munchetty’s apparent disdain towards her colleague, prompting the BBC to say here was ‘no credibility’ in rumours of friction between them.
