The exodus from an A-list enclave

-

IT WAS once the trendy North London enclave whose A-list, hard-partying residents included Jude Law, Sadie Frost, Liam and Noel Gallagher and Kate Moss – but Primrose Hill has suffered an exodus of stars in recent years.

Ms Frost put the sixbedroom home she once shared with Law – and which hosted famously raucous celebrity bashes – on the market for £6 million three years ago.

Ms Moss left London for the Cotswolds earlier this year while Meg Mathews, the former wife of Noel Gallagher, has relocated to Cornwall.

They sold their house, Supernova Heights, to toilet-roll heiress Davinia Taylor, but she has since moved to Marbella. Comedian David Walliams bought it from her for £3.25 million in 2005, and sold it for £5.3 million in 2019.

Liam Gallagher also moved out of Primrose Hill and now lives in Highgate, another North London district, with his fiancee Debbie Gwyther.

Model Pearl Lowe and her husband, Supergrass star Danny Boffey, were also members of the Primrose Hill set but have since moved to the Somerset countryside.

Former residents of Primrose Hill, each commemorated with an English Heritage blue plaque, include historian A.J.P. Taylor, revolutionary socialist Friedrich Engels, Proms founder Henry Wood and poet Sylvia Plath.
