PRINCE HARRY
is living his dream in the US, playing professional levels of polo while his brother William has sacrificed the sport in the name of duty. That’s the fascinating insight offered to me by British player Millie Hine, who was victorious in the Chestertons Polo in the Park tournament yesterday.
Millie, 19, knows members of Prince Harry’s Los Padres team and tells me he trains four times a week and goes to the gym most days to keep up with star player Nacho Figueras, the ‘David Beckham’ of polo, as well as two 17-yearolds on the same team. In contrast, busy William can manage only the occasional charity day – so much for polo being the sport of kings!
Meanwhile, I’m not exactly chomping at the bit to buy the eye-wateringly pricey Los Padres ‘merch’, which includes a £559 tote, below.
