What a Smile, Lily!

Star is a picture of happiness as she frolics in the Caribbean surf with Stranger Things husband

- By Sabrina Miller

IN THE words of her hit song, Lily Allen just goes ahead and smiles as she frolics in the sea with husband David Harbour on a sunshine getaway in the Caribbean.

Loved-up Lily, 37, was pictured kissing David – the star of the Netflix sci-fi drama Stranger Things – on a beach in St Barts.

Wearing mix-and-match aquamarine bottoms and a halterneck triangle bikini top, Lily completed her indy look with gold chains, a heartshaped pendant and gold rings.

Perhaps she was also laughing off a backlash for ‘nepo-baby’ remarks she made last month.

Lily, whose mother is film producer Alison Owen and whose father is actor Keith Allen, suggested nepotism was a much bigger problem in politics, law and finance than in the entertainment industry. She was forced to back-pedal a few days later, posting: ‘I think it’s important to disclose what a privileged upbringing I’ve had and how that has created so many opportunities for me.’

David, who gave up alcohol in his early 20s, has said his role as a father figure to Eleven – played by British actress Millie Bobby Brown in Stranger Things – helped prepare him to be stepdad to Lily’s daughters Marnie, 11, and nine-year-old Ethel.

The couple met in 2019 after matching with each other on a dating app. They were married a year later by an Elvis impersonator in a Las Vegas ceremony before celebrating their nuptials with burgers at fast food restaurant In-N-Out.

Lily’s girls are from her first marriage to builder Sam Cooper. Last week she, David, 47, and Marnie were spotted on a boat trip off St Barts.

Lily has resumed her acting career and in 2021 made her West End debut in 2:22 A Ghost Story, for which she received a Laurence Olivier Award nomination for Best Actress.
