‘Tate’s Angels’ – the model girlfriend and ex-police worker held with ‘toxic’ influencer
TWO glamorous women, dubbed ‘Tate’s Angels’, have been arrested in Romania with ‘toxic’ social media influencer Andrew Tate as part of a human trafficking and rape investigation. One is a former Bucharest police officer and the other is his girlfriend.
Luana Radu, 32, quit the Romanian police force nine years ago to pursue a career in video chat rooms. Later, as Tate’s administrative assistant, she helped manage his online business empire, worth an estimated £100million.
Model Georgiana Naghel, 28, is described as a businesswoman and influencer. She is believed to have been dating Tate, a former professional kickboxer – who describes himself as ‘absolutely a misogynist’ – for nearly a year. The couple have become a regular fixture at Bucharest’s exclusive clubs and bars.
Both women are accused of being Tate’s closest lieutenants with police claiming that they helped to coerce at least six women into creating social media porn and to keep them ‘like prisoners’. The two are now sharing a cell at the decrepit Bucharest Police Detention Centre where they have been remanded in custody for 29 days.
Tate, 36, and his brother Tristan, 34, are in a cell in the same facility. All are facing charges of human trafficking, rape and organised crime.
A police source said: ‘These two women are an important part of the crimes because they made sure that the women being held against their will did as they were told.’
Under Romanian law, Ms Radu was obliged to submit an annual statement of her financial assets. Before leaving the police in 2014, she had less than £400. The source added: ‘From her social media posts we see her in exotic locations wearing luxury brands. The investigation will establish how she came into this money.’
The Tate brothers deny the allegations and are expected to appeal against the decision to hold them in custody.
