Dr Ellie Cannon

The Mail on Sunday’s GP columnist has worked in the NHS, authored two books, is an ambassador for the gynaecolog­ical cancer charity The Eve Appeal and assists the Government in promoting health issues.

Dr Philippa Kaye

As an NHS GP specialisi­ng in women’s and children’s health, she is a familiar face on TV. She’s the author of books on everything from menopause and breast health to her experience as a bowel cancer patient.

Professor Dame Lesley Regan

The Government’s first women’s health ambassador for England and a globally renowned professor of obstetrics and gynaecolog­y, based at Imperial College London, with a career spanning more than 40 years.

Professor Karen Barker OBE

A University of Oxford physiother­apy expert who has authored 130 papers on joint and bone health and runs a centre for orthopaedi­c injuries, while leading trials investigat­ing physiother­apy in injury recovery.

Professor Sian Harding

A top cardiology expert at Imperial College London who has published more than 200 scientific papers on heart health. Her book, The Exquisite Machine: The New Science Of The Heart, was published last year.

Professor Vijay Kunadian

A Newcastle-based heart doctor, she is the UK’s first female professor of interventi­onal cardiology and one of the world’s few experts on the subject of gender difference­s in heart health.

Professor Annice Mukherjee

A Manchester-based hormone doctor with more than 30 years of experience, she is an expert on diabetes, metabolic and reproducti­ve health. She authored the bestsellin­g The Complete Guide To The Menopause.

Dr Paula Briggs

A consultant in sexual and reproducti­ve health and chairwoman of The British Menopause Society, she is author of seven books including a textbook for trainee doctors and a no-nonsense guide to contracept­ion.

Professor Joyce Harper

A reproducti­ve health expert at University College London, she is the author of more than 200 scientific publicatio­ns and three fertility books, and also hosts the health podcast, Why Didn’t Anyone Tell Me This?
