SPORT LIVE EFL
It’s a Lancashire derby as Blackburn Rovers welcome Preston North End to Ewood Park (k.o. 8pm). Preston won last season’s corresponding fixture and have made a stronger start to the season, but they won’t be taking anything for granted against their rivals. Sky Sports
Main Event, 7.30pm
China views the selfruling island of Taiwan as a renegade province and has vowed to unify it by force if necessary. Krishnan Guru-Murthy finds out how a growing network of about 1.6 million Taiwanese civilians are making sure they are ready to defend their country, whether it’s by learning how to fire weapons or administer first aid. Channel 4, 7.30pm
DRAMA GHOSTS
The last episode of what we’re told will be the last series of the hit sitcom about the ghosts of Button House, including Robin (Laurence Rickard, above), although there will be a Christmas special. We are reminded of a fact that many viewers will have forgotten and which might cause Alison and Mike to finally leave the haunted house for good. Things get emotional. BBC1, 8.30pm
COMEDY THE LAST LEG
Comedians Jon Richardson and Desiree Burch join regulars Adam Hills, Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker for the first in a new series. They’ll be talking about the big events of the past seven days, although some Taskmaster fans may be hoping that someone asks Richardson if his wife Lucy Beaumont really is that impractical at home. Channel 4, 10pm
SPORT BIG FIGHT LIVE: EUBANK V SCHWARZKOPF
He’s Chris Jr’s cousin, but superlightweight Harlem Eubank is also carving out his own reputation, having won all of his 18 professional fights to date. He’ll be hopeful of keeping up that streak when he takes on Germany’s Timo Schwarzkopf, who is fighting in Britain for the first time. Channel 5, 10pm
COMEDY MIKE JUDGE’S BEAVIS AND BUTT-HEAD
The animated comedy returns with a double bill, which finds the friends trying meditation. They may not seem like spiritual types, but it turns out they do have a gift for completely emptying their minds. Perhaps that’s why they manage to mistake their local polling station for a strip club. Comedy Central, 10pm & 10.30pm
