DAVID Beckham certainly knows how to light up his wife’s life.
And that’s surely less to do with the fact he changed a bulb in their Cotswolds mansion than the fact he stripped to the waist to do so – as Victoria revealed in a cheeky Instagram video this weekend.
Despite having a fortune of around £365million, the couple opted for DIY rather than calling in an electrician when the bulb blew in their converted barn.
And who could blame the former Spice Girl for that decision if it
‘Oh my gosh, you are so clever, you fixed the light!’
means looking at the former England captain’s toned torso, rather than a tradesman with a traditional ‘builder’s bum’?
Fashion designer Victoria, once notorious for never cracking a smile in public, continued to show her funny side with a playful exchange with her husband
As David climbed the 6ft ladder, she remained on terra firma, with her broken foot in a boot, and commented: ‘Looking good.’
Once the job was done David, 48 announced: ‘We have light’, prompting Victoria to tease: ‘Oh my gosh, you’re so clever, you fixed the light.’ Beckham told her: ‘You’re so sarcastic’, with Victoria adding: ‘I mean, the music is everything.’
The whole process was backed by Etta James’s I Just Want To Make Love To You – the track famously used in a Diet Coke advert featuring sexy, shirtless construction workers.
After taking off his khaki shirt at their £6million property in Great Tew, Oxfordshire, Beckham revealed many of his tattoos, including one at the base of his back which read ‘Brooklyn’ in tribute to the eldest of the couple’s four children. Mrs Beckham, who turns 50 next month, shared the minute-long clip with her 32million followers, writing alongside it: ‘The electrician is back!!! Happy Friday, you’re welcome @davidbeckham.’
Shortly afterwards, she posted a picture of her booted foot, saying: ‘All dressed up for dinner with the electrician.’
And yesterday, Posh shared another video, this time of the dozens of eggs laid by the couple’s chickens. ‘Turns out we have “overachieving” hens,’ she said.
