A Saga tends not to offer late cruise deals. Try Iglu Cruise, which offers next-day departures, often with money off. Seven nights on MSC Euribia the next day was from £977pp last week (£88 off), departing Southampton to Rotterdam and Bruges. Heathrow-New York fares with Delta are from £805 in November (trailfinders.com). Other deals in this cabin class include £1,176 return with Virgin to Barbados in September and £1,178 return with American Airlines to Vancouver in June.
Q We flew from Cyprus to
Manchester via Heathrow with BA last October. In Cyprus, we were told the flight was delayed due to pilot sickness and we’d miss our connection. We were eventually put up in a Heathrow hotel, paying nearly £70 for taxis there and back. We arrived home the next day, ten hours late. No compensation is forthcoming five months on, and I have only been able to speak a BA ‘chatbot’. Can you help?
