Reuben: Life In The Dales (C5, 8pm)

THE heavy autumn and winter rains wreaked havoc across the UK, particularly in the Yorkshire Dales. Thankfully for some of the residents there, Reuben and Sarah are able to help out. Their friend, stone mason Pete Roe, asks the pair to lend a hand repairing a 200-year-old drain which has collapsed under the force of rainfall. While Tommy is on holiday in Slovakia, Reuben enlists the help of fellow machine lover Myles Capper to fetch three very vintage machines which Reuben hopes to fix and flip for a profit.

Double The Money (C4, 8pm)

THE TV schedules are packed with game shows offering contestants lifechanging amounts of cash. But what sets Double The Money apart from the rest is that those taking part are not competing for an instant cash prize – instead, they have to take a relatively small sum of money out into the real world and try to double it. Presenting the show is Sue Perkins, who explains the first challenge to the contestants

– turn £250 into £500 in the space of 36 hours. As the clock starts, every team reveals a different money-making idea – from cake sales and cocktail classes to buying and selling flowers and flogging gaudy glasses.

Murder, They Hope (BBC2, 9pm)

THE series finale sees a twisted serial killer, who links his murders to a children’s song, on the loose. Terry (Johnny Vegas) and Gemma (Sian Gibson) are hoping their coach-tour knowledge can help the police find the murderer – but with the force led by incompetent boss Chief Inspector Shepherd (Hannah Waddingham), it’s far from easy. Will the duo solve the clues the killer leaves them and catch the psychopath before more bodies litter the Yorkshire Dales?

Taskmaster (C4, 9pm)

THE competition to win the golden bust of Taskmaster Greg Davies is heating up. Tonight, John Robins demonstrates the power of his forearms, while Steve Pemberton stains his shirt with orange juice, and Sophie Willan repeatedly shouts the name of a body part in Little Alex Horne’s little flustered face. Davies has his usual task of trying to award points for things such as Nick Mohammed constructing a bottle orchestra.
