Liverpool Biennial

-

Biennial is the UK’s largest festival of contemporary art, and this year’s event – with the theme of The Stomach and the Port – is showcasing work by 50 leading and emerging artists and collectives from 30 countries around the world. The beauty of the Biennial is it’s everywhere – not just in galleries but in shops, on the street, on the waterfront and where you’d least expect to find it!

The festival launched in March with six large-scale outdoor artworks and sculptures, including Rashid Johnson’s Stacked Heads at Canning Dock and Linder’s Bower of Bliss at Liverpool ONE.

It’s now added a whole raft of indoor works too at venues including the old Lewis’s building on Ranelagh Street (on until June 27) and the flagship Lush store on Church Street (also until June 27).

It’s free but tickets can be booked in advance from the website: https://biennial.com/2021/exhibition
