LIVERPOOL EMPIRE

Opposite the beautiful historic St George’s Hall and next to Lime Street station, the Empire’s got an impressive history all of its own. Almost a century of shows in the current building have seen it welcoming legends including The Beatles, Judy Garland and Frank Sinatra as well as hosting a couple of Royal Command Performances.

Seating over 2,000 in an ornate Louis XVI-style two-tier auditorium, it’s now part of the Ambassador Theatre Group and touring productions in 2022 include Mamma Mia!, School of Rock and The Book of Mormon. For interval drinks, the Piano Bar with its huge curved glass frontage has fabulous views over St George’s Plateau.
