THE EPSTEIN

-

Another much-loved Liverpool venue which began as a music hall above Crane Brothers music shop then moved on to become a city favourite, seating just under 400 and known for comedy – Steve Coogan filmed for the BBC there - amateur dramatic productions and family shows, especially its TV celeb-starring pantos.

Previously the Neptune, it was renamed The Epstein in honour of The Beatles manager Brian Epstein. After ongoing struggles to stay open, it was taken over by a new management team at the end of 2021, launching a programme for 2022 with shows like Sam Avery: Role Model, Vincent Simone’s Tango Passion and Twopence to Cross the Mersey.
