LIVERPOOL PLAYHOUSE

Sister theatre to the Everyman, the Playhouse is about a mile away, standing in the shadow of the iconic Radio City Tower, aka St John’s Beacon. Another venue with an incredible history, it started out as a music hall in the mid-1800s before becoming a rep theatre. In Williamson Square, it’s unmissable for its combination of historic frontage and newer concrete and glass cylinder extension which houses the Circle Bar.

In 2022, the Playhouse has touring productions coming including family show The Tiger Who Came to Tea, Craig Revel Horwood’s All The Balls and Glitter Tour and Northern Broadsides’ 30th anniversary production of Shakespeare’s As You Like It.
