Animal readers of THE NEW EUROPEAN

The New European - - Letters -

This is Ashcat, aged 15. She’s just accompanied her staff Jane and Terry to Falmouth in Cornwall, and is looking forward to putting any local quitling cats firmly in their place.

Meet Daphne, owner of Anne-britt and Dermot. In between taking naps to cope with the strain of Brexit she worries that no-deal will disrupt her regular supply of tuna.

Poppy has been very worried lately about stockpiles of her favourite biscuits and fish but her domestics (Marian and Stephen) have let her read the latest news and she is now able to sleep soundly again.

Snøggi follows Brexit news every week from Midlothian, Scotland, where he has spent four lovely years with his Norwegian housekeeper Anne-lise. He does not want to leave and neither does she.
