LEAMINGTON 1 WORCESTER CITY 2 TORQUAY UNITED 4 BATH CITY 4

WORCESTER CITY came out on top thanks to two goals from trialist Nathan Olukanmi. Southern League Premier side Leamington began brightly but found themselves behind on 21 minutes when a promising attack broke down and Worcester moved the ball swiftly upfield, a low cross played in from the right being finished off by Olukanmi from close range.

Former City striker Ryan Rowe saw a shot deflected behind for the hosts but they fell further behind right on half time when Olukanmi took a touch around 20 yards from goal and leathered a fine strike across keeper Tony Breeden into the top corner.

Rowe got himself on the scoresheet with a simple finish from six yards after Courtney Baker-Richardson threaded the ball in from the right.

Ahmed Obeng went close to a leveller when he turned his marker and lashed a shot just over the bar, but the National League North visitors held out for the win. A SECOND-HALF double from substitute Josh Hutchinson helped to secure a draw for National League South outfit Bath City against Torquay United in what proved to be a topsy turvy encounter.

The Romans broke the deadlock in the 18th minute when George Rigg calmly slotted home.

United levelled on 42 minutes when Ben Gerring powerfully headed home a corner from Luke Young.

On the stroke of half-time, Dan Sparkes latched onto a long clearance from Torquay keeper Brendan Moore before firing past Steve Phillips to put the Gulls ahead.

United increased their lead in the 53rd minute when Aman Verma forced in a Young corner.

Ten minutes later, Gulls’ substitutes Sam Chaney and Chay Scrivens combined to set up Chaney for United’s fourth.

Bath then reduced their deficit to a single goal as second half sub Hutchinson grabbed a quickfire brace before Nick McCootie brought the Romans back on level terms on 73 minutes.
