THE WESTERN LEAGUE had a weekend off but they celebrated their 125th year anniversary on Wednesday, when a Representative XI took on an FA XI for whom England C boss Paul Fairclough took charge.

The team representing the FA were selected predominantly from Southern League clubs, with both sides putting on a good show at Melksham Town’s modern Oakfield Stadium.
