RAISE A TOAST TO NON-LEAGUE DAY SUCCESS

-

NON-LEAGUE Day may have been and gone for another year, but the money keeps rolling in for Prostate Cancer UK. Seven Non-League clubs helped raise over £2,800 on October 7 by transforming their clubhouse to Men United Arms pubs, and encouraging donations through fans. Darlington, Sutton United, main picture, and Wealdstone all welcomed the initiative along with Corinthian Casuals, Hallam, Mickleover Sports, inset, and Sheppey United. The total amount raised is yet to be totalled but Prostate Cancer director of fundraising James Beeby praised the effort of fans. He said: “The power of football consistently helps us reach out to men and their friends and families, and we are very grateful for all the support from clubs on Non-League Day as we continue to raise money and awareness throughout the grassroots game in innovative ways. “We’re delighted once again that Non-League fans joined the fight against prostate cancer and raised vital funds for Prostate Cancer UK. “The money raised will fund ground-breaking research to help fight the disease. That will help us provide dedicated support and information to men and their families affected by this disease.”
