TORQUAY United finally won their first game of the season with a crushing 4-0 victory over Maidenhead United on October 3. The Gulls scored all four of their goals before halftime, bringing a sudden air of confidence to the Plainmoor ranks as Gary Owers’ men picked up seven points out of a possible 12 going into yesterday’s visit of Hartlepool United.
