Ironside has all the answers for Harriers

- By Chris Pratt

JOE IRONSIDE’S second-half double snatched victory for Kidderminster Harriers in a turnaround that had looked unlikely at the break.

The Hatters oozed confidence after a rare away win at Nuneaton last time out. A firsthalf corner count of 9-0 highlighted their dominance.

County’s best chance came when left back Stephen O’Halloran, up for a corner, drilled a goalbound effort only for it to strike his captain Michael Clarke and bounce to safety. Jamie McQuilkin went close with a header for the visitors and Elton Ngwatala should have done better.

But it was a long clearance that did for Harriers just before half-time. Ian Ormson’s long kick being flicked on for Matty Warburton to roll the ball past Brandon Hall.

The away side came out after the break a different side. Sam Austin’s deflected cross looped up to Ironside who nipped in front of Ormson and backheaded into the net.

And it was Ironside again on 90 minutes who popped up to sidefoot home after a move involving Ryan Croasdale to hand the away side the points. STAR MAN: Fraser Horsfall (Kidderminster) ENTERTAINMENT: ★★★★★
