NORTHERN LEAGUE

HEBBURN Town leapfrogge­d Shildon at the top of Division One after a 3-1 win at Dean Street.

Two goals in two first-half minutes from James Fairley and Nathan Richardson put the visitors on top before Shildon got one back from Danny Earl. But a Dom Curl own goal secured the three points.

Bishop Auckland beat Seaham Red Star 6-1.

Shaun Ryder scored the opener within five minutes and Kyle Patton made it two after 21 minutes.

Seaham’s Daniel Wilson pulled one back in the first half but Michael Hoganson, Niall McGoldrick, Calum Munro and Lewis Gibbons all scored in the second half.

West Auckland were also emphatic winners, 7-0 over Newton Aycliffe.

Amar Purewal hit a hat-trick, Nathan Fisher bagged a brace and Adam Mitchell and Thomas Price also scored.

North Shields won 3-0 at Penrith. The Robins were two up before halftime through Gary Ormston and Rob Taylor before Gary Day added another in the 55th minute.

Ashington secured a 3-2 win against struggling Whickham in the last minute..

David Edwards and Channon North scored for the hosts. Kelvin Thear and Dale Burrell netted for Whickham and Jack Butler hit the added-time winner

NORTHERN COUNTIES EAST

HALL Road Rangers stunned high-flying Liversedge with three late goals in a superb 4-1 victory.

Leon Smith struck just before the break to give lowly Rangers the lead. The visitors levelled on 68 minutes but Rangers sealed victory with goals from Reagan Waud, Ben Vazquez and Conner Harman.

League leaders Hemsworth suffered their first defeat of the season at the hands of Barton Town who snatched victory through a Danny Chambers strike.

Craig Ogilvie’s first match in charge of bottom club Harrogate ended in a 3-0 home defeat to Penistone. Andrew Ring, Kieran Ryan and Sam Scrivens scored the goals.

Athersley notched their first win of the season at Bridlingto­n with goals from Adam White and Lee Garside either side of a Terence Barwick strike for the hosts.

Handsworth won 4-2 at Albion Sports had led 2-1 through Dean Bartley and Moise Kroma before the visitors took the points with goals from Danny Buttle, Lee Hill, Brad Nicholson and Jon Froggatt.

Eccleshill also hit four at Goole. Antony Brown scored twice including a penalty while Ben Grech scored his first goal for the club.

NW COUNTIES LEAGUE

SILSDEN retained top spot with a 2-1 win at struggling Whitchurch Alport but they had to work for it as the Yockings Park side had the advantage early on and took the lead on 15 minutes when the ball was laid off to Alex Hughes, whose left-footed effort flew into the corner.

After the break, Silsden took control of the game when Aiden Kirby fired in a superb volley to level just after the hour on 61 minutes before Kyle Hancock netted with an individual effort in stoppage time to claim the points.

Abbey Hey and Litherland Remyca went head-to-head and it was the visitors Remy who ran out comfortabl­e 6-1 winners.

Warren Jevons put them ahead on 31 minutes but it was in the second half that the goals started to fly in.

Ashton Clements doubled the lead as The Remy looked comfortabl­e but the game was halted as an ambulance was called due to a serious injury to a Hey player.

Colin Quirk then netted a third just on the hour whilst Jevons netted his second moments later.

Quirk put Remy 5-0 up on 78 minutes and Declan Gregson got the sixth just after Hey had pulled one back.

Padiham kept the pressure on the top two as a late goal from Jake Hargreaves inflicted West Didsbury and Chorlton’s fourth league defeat.

GARY LANGLEY

ESSEX SENIOR LEAGUE

SPORTING Bengal United were yesterday’s biggest winners, thumping Enfield 6–0 at Mile End Stadium.

Steven Carvell, Bobby Redwood, John Watson, Codey Cameron, twice, and Yasir Rashid were the marksmen.

West Essex picked up their first points of the season, beating Leyton Athletic 4–1. Cameron Gray, Michael Mignot, Izzy Oyedi-Uzoki and Hakim Medfal were their scorers. Mario Gnijaj replied for Leyton.

Hullbridge Sports went top after Rob Hodgson scored deep in stoppage time to snatch a 2–1 win at Hoddesdon Town.

Joss Lillis’s penalty put Hoddesdon ahead before Adebola Sotoyinbo levelled midway through the first half.

Stansted won 3–0 at Southend Manor with Paul Clayton, Carl Mullings and Billy Coyne scoring.

St Margaretsb­ury got their second win of the season, 2–0 at Barkingsid­e. Charlie Dash, in the first half, and Phil Lowen, 72 minutes, were on target.

Clapton went to Redbridge and returned with a point when Jeffrey Cobblah replied to a first-half goal from Asher Modeste.

There was one game on Friday night, in the League’s Gordon Brasted Trophy. Sawbridgew­orth Town defeated Tower Hamlets 5–2, scoring three times in the last 20 minutes.

EASTERN COUNTIES LEAGUE

JOSH MAYHEW and Ollie Canfer netted twice for leaders Stowmarket Town as they went two points clear with a 4-3 home win against ten-man Gorleston.

Stowmarket have now won five of their opening seven games as they continue their strong start to the season.

Kirkley & Pakefield are up to second in the table after a crushing 5-0 home win against Thetford Town.

Liam Harvey-Cooper netted twice for the home side with Kaiden Goldspink, Miguel Lopez and Lee Will also on target.

Liam Jackson scored Norwich United goals in a 2-1 home victory against bottom side Framlingha­m Town and sixth placed Walsham-leWillows were held to a 2-2 draw at home by FC Clacton.

Great Yarmouth Town remain in the bottom three after suffering a 3-0 defeat at home to Ely City. Tom Thulborn was amongst the scorers for Ely, who are now up to fourth in the league.

Hadleigh United ran out comfortabl­e 3-0 winners at home to Wroxham as they moved three points clear of the drop zone.

SOUTHERN COMBINATIO­N

CHICHESTER CITY went three points clear at the top of the table after a thumping 6-1 home win against Peacehaven & Telscombe yesterday.

Ellis Martin and Tiago Andrade were amongst the goal scorers for the unbeaten home side, who have now won five of their opening six games to start the season.

Saltdean United are up to second in the league after a comfortabl­e 3-0 home victory over Little Common with Jamie Brotherton, Toby House and Ben Bacon all netting second half goals for the hosts.

Bottom side Loxwood suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat at home to Hassocks. Phil Johnson struck twice and Liam Benson and Spencer Slaughter were also on target for the visitors.

Paul Rogers grabbed an 80th minute equaliser for Langney Wanderers as they climbed out of the bottom three after a 2-2 draw at home to Shoreham.

Dan Huet scored a hat-trick with Ryan Quirke adding a brace as East Preston recorded a crushing 7-1 away success over struggling Eastbourne United AFC.

Eastbourne Town snatched a dramatic 3-2 win at Arundel with late Sam Cole and Daniel Bolwell goals. The defeat dropped Arundel into the bottom three. RORY HAYWARD

HOLBEACH United scored three times at home to ten-man Deeping Rangers – but ended up 3-2 losers thanks to a late own goal.

Billy Smith gave the Tigers a 12thminute lead and Josh Ford added a second. But Danny Durkin pulled one back for Deeping and Scott Mooney then levelled.

The visitors then had Charlie Coulson sent off for a second yellow card, but Holbeach’s Jonny Clay turned the winner into his own net.

Hosts Boston Town had no answer to free-scoring Eynesbury Rovers who ran up a 5-0 victory. Craig Smith hit two with Dan Draper, Robert Ducket and Tai Williams scoring one each.

SPARTAN SOUTH MIDLANDS

BIGGLESWAD­E FC maintain their one point lead at the top of the Premier Division after an excellent 3-1 win at Potton United. Ryan Lewis gave the hosts a deserved half time lead but Biggleswad­e’s impressive second half showing was rewarded with goals from Alex Marsh, Tom Coles and Lee Northfield, despite Pat McCafferty being sent off for two yellow cards late on.

Hot on Biggleswad­e’s heels are Tring Athletic who recorded their fourth win of the season, 2-0 at Oxhey Jets. Kieran Turner and Chris Vardy were on target for Tring, with Turner also missing a penalty.

Arlesey Town are third after Lorrell Smith’s late header sealed a 2-1 win at home to Leighton Town, with Aaron Browne also on target.

Dave Parkinson’s wonderful solo goal earned Biggleswad­e United a point as they drew 1-1 at home to Baldock Town and Wembley picked up their first point of the season as the drew 0-0 at home to Edgware Town.

WESTERN LEAGUE

BRADFORD Town extended their winning run to three games, with Jack Witcombe scoring the only goal of the game at home to Brislingto­n.

Clevedon Town have now won four games on the bounce in all competitio­ns after defeating Odd Down 3-2 at the Hand Stadium.

The game came to life just before the break, with Ash McGrane firing the visitors ahead, before Syd Camper and Lucas Vowles scored in quick succession to give Clevedon a 2-1 advantage at the interval.

Camper then added his second eight minutes from time to secure the three points, with Anthony Conradi scoring a late consolatio­n for Odd Down.

Bridgwater Town responded well after losing to Plymouth Parkway on Tuesday evening, with a strong second half showing at Paprika Park leading them to a 4-1 win at Hengrove Athletic.

The leading scorers in the division were level at the break before surging ahead during the second period thanks to a penalty from Jack Taylor and further goals from Tom Ellis and Kurt Robinson.

Willand Rovers and Roman Glass St George shared the points at Silver Street after drawing 1-1, while Wellington secured their first win of the season, 2-1 at home to Shepton Mallet. TOM HISCOTT

COMBINED COUNTIES

TONY Halsey was the hat-trick hero for Redhill in a thrilling 5-3 win over struggling Walton & Hersham. Redhill led through an own goal and Francis Tango was their other scorer. while the Swans’ scorers were Ross Chalke and recent signings Craig Lewington and Ryan David.

CB Hounslow United beat Raynes Park Vale 4-0, with goals from Jordan Ireland, Harrison Livingston­e, Kai Hamilton and Trengt Skapetis.

Chertsey United beat Horley Town 3-1. Lubomir Guentchev, Dale Binns and Andy Crossley were the scorers.

Badshot Lea fought back from 2-0 down against Balham to win 3-2. Josh Pound and Jack May and Ryan Bell scored in the final 11 minutes, Bell netting the winner two minutes from time.

A 14th-minute goal from Alex Hendrie scraped Abbey Rangers AFC Hayes.

Tom White’s 43rd-minute goal earned Knaphill a 1-0 win at Hanworth Villa.

Chris Davis scored the winner in their 2-1 home win over Camberley Town which lifted them off the foot of the table with their first league win of the season.

Colliers Wood United were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Guildford City, while Southall forced a 1-1 draw at Banstead Athletic.

WESSEX LEAGUE

past ROBIN JONES BASHLEY got a precious 2-0 home triumph over Baffins Milton Rovers.

The Foresters took the lead right on the stroke of half-time through Lewis Aimson.

And it was the same story in the second-half as an effort from Harry Morgan made it 2-0 to seal the points at Bashley Road.

Ali Falkhal levelled for Bournemout­h Poppies as they drew 1-1 at home to Hamble Club.

The visitors went ahead and appeared to be on course for all three points at Victoria Road before Falkhal found the target for the hosts.

Tadley Calleva and Christchur­ch shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at Barlows Park.

The visitors went ahead after 34 minutes when a Christchur­ch strike deflected off Connor Thorne and past the home keeper.

But Tadley rallied after the break and levelled in the second-half to snatch a point.

In Division One, Richard Morse's Ringwood Town were worthy 4-1 winners at home to Totton and Eling. Lee Vint bagged a brace for the home side in the second half.

HELLENIC LEAGUE

WINDSOR won 6-3 at struggling Tuffley Rovers, despite a second-half fight-back by the home side.

Daniel Roberts hit two goals for the visitors and had a third disallowed, while Malachi Thomas also helped himself to a double.

Rob Lazarczuk and Jack Hall also netted, with Jake Rhodes, Kieran Alder and Mark Pritchett, from the penalty spot, replying for Tuffley, who have won only one game so far.

A hat-trick from Jamie West and solitary goals from Ryan Parsons and Joffy Cox gave mid-table Holmer Green a 5-0 home win over Ardley United.

Rob Lincoln and TJ Bohane were on target for hosts Royal Wootton Bassett Town in their 2-1 win over high-flying Flackwell Heath, either side of a Leius Sinclair leveller.

James Campbell scored the only goal of the game as Longlevens beat fourth-placed visitors Ascot United.

Kyle Moss and Joe Green found the back of the net in improved Abingdon United’s 2-1 win at Shrivenham. Sam Ockwell responded in a late rally by the hosts.

Brackley Town Saints returned from Brimscombe & Thrupp with a 32 win to keep up the pressure on the front-runners thanks to two goals from Ryan Knight and one from Dean March. BEN GODDARD

SOUTH WEST PENINSULA

SALTASH UNITED are a point behind leaders Falmouth Town, in third, after beating the Amber & Blacks 4-3.

Falmouth led 2-0 early on thanks to Jack Bowyer and Luke Brabyn. But Sam Hughes and Ryan Richards both scored in each half in a four-goal Ashes blitz before Jordan Annear gave Falmouth ultimately unfulfille­d hope.

Plymouth Argyle remained second after a 3-0 win over Helston Athletic, while Tavistock won 2-0 at Cullompton Rangers to stay fourth.

Launceston had an eye-catching 52 victory at Millbrook.There were also eye-catching home wins for Torpoint Athletic, 5-1 over Camelford, St Austell, 5-2 against Elburton Villa, and Exmouth Town, who beat Newquay 4-0. And Ivybridge drew 22 with Godlophin Athletic, to pick up their second point of the season.

HUGO VARLEY

EAST MIDLANDS

JOE TAYLOR scored both goals as Borrowash picked up their first points of the season in a 2-1 win at fellow strugglers Arnold Town.

Graham Street stay top on goal difference after a 4-1 win over Kimberley. Brad Scard netted twice.

Liam Theakstone scored two for Sherwood in their 4-0 win at Rainworth. Selston made it six wins out of six, beating Heanor 2-1. Ben Moore and Scott Taylor found the net.

Julian Topliss’s superb free-kick earned victory for Clipstone at Ingles while Tristan Comer secured Gedling the points against Ashby.

Sam Vickers netted two in Radford’s 4-2 win at Barrow. Newark won at Teversal thanks to Sam Agar’s penalty and Jammy Lloyd.

Joe Butler scored as Eastwood beat Clifton 4-1 and Belper won 4-0 against bottom club West Bridgford.

NAT SYLVESTER

WEST MIDLANDS REGIONAL

BOTTOM club Bilston Town Community won their first points of the season, beating fellow strugglers Cradley Town 3-1.

Ryan Piggott put Cradley ahead but had to quit at half time through illness. And Bilston took full advantage with second half strikes from Tom Massey, Tory Herbert and sub Ryan Boothe.

Wellington walloped Pershore Town 11-0. Sam Pearson and Saul Thomas plundered hat-tricks. Adam Newbury, twice, George Hayes, Jack Lewis and Paul Jones also scored.

Kyle Montague scored on thirty seconds in Shifnal Town’s 3-0 win over Smethwick Rangers. Adrian Jones and Ryan Mountfield, in stoppage time, completed the scoring.

Wem Town beat Pegasus Juniors 6-3, with David Walbyoff on target twice. And Ben Williams scored two as Wednesfiel­d beat Dudley Town 2-0.
