BECKENHAM TOWN moved top of the table with a 7-1 thrashing of Crowborough Athletic in yesterday’s only Premier Division fixture.

The win made it six wins from six for the hosts, with Callum McGeehan opening the scoring in the fifth minute.

Jack Hope made it 2-0 with Eli Dean adding a third, before Tom Penfold reduced the arrears on the stroke of half-time.

McGeehan grabbed his second three minutes after the break, with Richard Atkins’ penalty and further goals from Jesse Darko and Billy Bennett completing the rout.

Greenways missed the chance to go top of Division One after losing 2-0 at Meridian VP.

Thierry Fotso scored both goals for the Charlton-based side in the last 15 minutes.

Welling Town won 2-1 at Lewisham Borough in the first round of the League Cup.

Liam Donaldson and an own goal put Town in control before the half hour, with Jay Jones’ 45th-minute strike proving only a consolation.

There were also two second round ties, both involving local derbies.

Jonny Murray bagged a hat-trick for Sutton Athletic in their 4-2 win at Kent Football United, while Snodland Town beat Rochester United 2-1.

Kennington went out of the Kent Senior Trophy, losing 5-3 at West Wickham.
