NEWCASTLE TOWN 1 RADCLIFFE 1
By Ray Tatton
NEWCASTLE Town came from behind to gain a point but were disappointed they didn't take all three against league leaders Radcliffe FC .
Newcastle had the first chance when Taylor Attrell’s shot was turned for a corner but the visitors took the lead on eight minutes when Shelton Payne cut in from the right and bent the ball into the top corner in superb style, a goal of pure quality.
But Castle were determined not to let that goal get the better of them and were level when a cross field ball found Rod OrlandoYoung who fired home in style.
Indeed it was the home side that looked the more threatening but they couldn’t grab the winner.
