Dan’s plan works on Harlow

The Non-League Football Paper - - BOSTIK LEAGUE PREMIER - By Ian Barham

DANIEL Cunningham’s stoppage-time winner eased the pressure on CorinthianCasuals, as they leap-frogged their hosts and jumped out of the relegation zone.

Harlow went ahead three minutes after half-time, but Casuals levelled 15 minutes later before Cunningham’s decisive strike.

The visitors were wasteful in the first half where they created a number of chances. Jordan Clarke and Cunningham should both have been on the score sheet, but they failed to take advantage of good positions with poor attempts that Hawks stopper Josh Bexon easily saved.

It looked as though Casuals would be punished when Jason Raad finished off a good passing Harlow Town move with a well-taken goal, in their first on-target effort of the game.

It was all square when the hosts conceded a needless foul on the edge of the area. Coskum Ekim superbly curled the centrally-placed free-kick inside the post.

The two sides then cancelled each other out for long periods.

But the comeback was completed in the second minute of added time, when Casuals counter-attacked and Cunningham finished off the move to earn his side a vital three points.
