Yusuff off the spot for Invicta

FOLKESTONE INVICTA 1 BURGESS HILL TOWN 1

- By Richard Murrill

HONOURS were even at the Fullicks Stadium as the two sides met for a second successive Saturday.

Ade Yusuff put Invicta ahead in the 60th minute with a good finish after good work from Jack Evans and Ian Draycott.

But Burgess Hill equalised in the 70th minute when Ben Pope played the ball back for stand-in captain Dan Beck to sweep his shot past Folkestone keeper Tim Roberts.

A 28th-minute Gary Charman slip let Yusuff, who curled his shot just wide of the far post from the left hand side.

Seven minutes later, Yusuff blasted his penalty over after a trip by Charman on Johan Ter Horst.

The Hillians then lost captain Gary Elphick to injury before half-time as Beck took over the armband.

Right on half-time, Roberts came out to make a good save when the ball fell to Charman on the right hand side after a wellworked move.

Kieron McCann misfired for Invicta in the 64th minute after Josh Vincent played a good ball up to Ter Horst.

And McCann went close in the 74th minute when he cut in from the left and his speculative shot dipped just wide.

STAR MAN: Ian Draycott (Folkestone Invicta) ENTERTAINMENT: ★★★★★
